TrueCoach or CoachBlocks in 2026

We make CoachBlocks, so read this knowing who wrote it. It compares the two on how your client gets their training, what you pay, and where the next block comes from.

If you use TrueCoach and it works for you, stay. Moving a roster costs you evenings and costs your clients some patience. That is only worth it if something specific is in your way.

CoachBlocks is narrow on purpose. It works out the loads, delivers the block and collects what the client did. If you want one tool to cover more of the job than that, it is probably not for you.

There are three real differences, and they are below. If none of them is a problem you have, you can stop reading here.

What TrueCoach does well

  • Clients get their own app, on iOS and Android. The coach app is iOS only.
  • You and your clients can message each other inside the app.
  • A library of more than 3,500 exercise demonstrations, and you can add your own videos.
  • It covers more of the coaching job in one place: habit tracking and automated client payments.

Where CoachBlocks is different

  • Your client opens one link. There is no app to install, no account and no password. The same link opens their newest block every time.
  • The price is flat. Your first 3 clients are free with no time limit. After that it is $39 a month for up to 30 clients, with every feature on both.
  • The next block is drafted from the sets your client actually logged, not from what you prescribed. For weighted lifts, the loads are worked out for you. You review every number and can change any of them.

What CoachBlocks does not do

  • No messaging, no check-in forms, no payments or invoicing, no video hosting, no group or team programming, no custom branding.
  • No app. That is the point of the link, but some clients would rather have one on their home screen.
  • It suggests loads for weighted lifts and nothing else. Bodyweight reps, a time or a distance reach the client as you wrote them.
  • Your client only ever sees their newest block. The history is yours, not theirs.
  • Nothing past 30 clients yet. Solo is the largest plan you can buy.

Both columns are month to month, because ours is a monthly price. TrueCoach's pricing page shows annual billing by default, and annual is cheaper: $26.34, $57.99 and $136.99 a month for the three plans. Our prices are the ones on our pricing page. TrueCoach's were checked on 14 October 2026. Prices change, so check their site before you decide.

If you are deciding

Most coaches who are happy with TrueCoach should stay. Moving is worth it if one of the three differences above fixes something that costs you time every week: clients who stall at installing an app or making an account, a bill you want to stay flat as the roster grows, or working out next month's loads by hand.

You can try it with 3 real clients, free, with no card. Start free, or read the pricing page first. While we are small we will do the first migration with you on a call, free. Just ask.

Keep TrueCoach if it works for you. Use CoachBlocks if one link, a flat price and blocks drafted from logged sets solve a problem you have.
